Communication Assessment
Up to 2 hours — £180
Every assessment is tailored to your child, taking account of their strengths, interests, preferences and needs, as well as what you would like to understand about their communication.
The time is used flexibly according to your child's needs and may include:
a questionnaire completed by parents and/or education staff
assessment of your child's speech, language and communication through play-based activities, everyday routines and/or video clips
personalised spoken feedback and recommendations with parents and/or education staff
travel within 5 miles of my base
Further assessment, if required — £90 per hour, pro rata
Support Tailored to Your Child & Family
Every child and family is different. Following your child’s assessment, I’ll recommend the type and level of support that is likely to be most helpful.
A key part of my approach is helping parents, carers and education staff to feel confident supporting your child's communication through everyday interactions, play and routines. Support is child-led and takes account of what helps your child to feel safe, regulated and comfortable.
Support may be more frequent initially, then reduce as your child makes progress and the adults around them become more confident in supporting their communication. Some families need only a small number of sessions, while others benefit from further therapy or follow-up reviews.
Support can include individual sessions or blocks of therapy, reviews and meetings with parents and/or education staff.
In-Person Speech & Language Therapy
1.5 hours — £135 per session
Block of five sessions paid in advance — £650
The time is used flexibly and may include:
child-led, play-based activities with your child alongside parents or education staff
VERVE Child Interaction Therapy, a type of Video Interaction Therapy, using short video clips to notice what is already supporting your child's communication and find ways to build on what works in everyday interactions
working with parents and/or education staff to support communication in everyday life
personalised therapy resources, where needed, such as visual supports
written or emailed next steps, where needed
travel within 5 miles of my base
Short, regular practice between sessions can help your child to get the most from therapy.
"Natalie's guidance throughout the therapy was fantastic and after a relatively short time our son has improved so much. The video playback (seeing yourself and your child playing together) was particularly helpful as it really homes in on the techniques. I can't say it was easy, as it was a challenge some days trying to fit in the 5-minute one-to-one play sessions, but it was all worth it."

Online Speech & Language Therapy
75 minutes — £110 per session
I also offer online support via Zoom for parents, carers and education staff.
Online sessions use VERVE Child Interaction Therapy to watch short video clips of your child playing and interacting with you or another familiar adult in their everyday environment. This helps us to notice your child's communication skills, what is already supporting their communication and practical ways to build on what works.
Your child does not need to be present during online sessions.
During your free initial telephone consultation, we can discuss whether online support would be a good fit for your child and family.

Additional Services & Information
Additional services, where needed:
Written progress record — £45
A written record of your child’s progress towards the priorities identified at the beginning of a block of therapy.
Reports — £90 per hour, pro rata
Travel over 5 miles from my base — £45 per hour, pro rata
Parking costs are payable by you.
Additional personalised resources, meetings, liaison, advice by email and referrals to other professionals — £90 per hour, pro rata
Payment and other information:
fees include record-keeping, session planning, routine resource preparation, assessment analysis, outcome measurement and administration
individual appointments are payable on the day; blocks of therapy sessions are paid in advance
bank transfer is preferred; cash and cheque are also accepted
if I attend a scheduled appointment, in person or online, and it cannot go ahead because your child or the adult needed for the session is unavailable, a £45 charge will apply, plus any travel fees incurred
speech and language therapy services are also available free through the NHS
Fees are subject to periodic review.
